About Artist Ada Koch

‚ÄčArtist - works daily at her studio, Studio Above, in the Crossroads downtown arts district of Kansas City. Work can be purchased at the Leedy-Voulkos Gallery, Eva Reynolds Fine Art, Art Source and Design, and the WWI Museum gift shop.

Painter- specializes in oils, acrylics and mixed media works in a colorful representational style.  Subjects are often thematic for larger solo exhibitions, but also paints commissions with still lifes, landscapes and portraits.  Her art is in corporate and private collections throughout the world. 

Educator - has taught at art institutions and schools throughout the area for over 20 years.  Currently teaching at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in KC and the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum in Tucson, AZ.  Private lessons upon request. 

What else? - active with many local arts organizations, serving on boards and helping to raise money and increase membership.  Juries art events, helps with local schools, illustrates books/covers, mentors new artists to the KC area, and stays artists have to do...

Where can I see her? - come to First Friday in the Crossroads, any month from 6-9 at Studio Above, on the second floor above the Leedy-Voulkos Gallery.  

Come see the  bike show at the 2016 Main Gallery from April through May! And the newest installation of poppy art and scarves at the WWI Museum in KC, MO.
